DSH Program

Eligibility Plus, Inc. is extremely excited about this new program. If you are meeting your DSH or just missing your DSH, this program is for you.

We listen to our clients needs regarding DSH and work to understand their goals in regards to DSH; EPI will then design a client-specific version of our DSH program. This program will include the following:

• Review of your underinsured patients and their diagnoses. We always remember that patients who have insurance may be eligible for Medicaid/Medi-Cal. Some of the patients we will look at as viable possibilities for Medicaid/Medi-Cal as a secondary would bee patients that fit in one or more of the following categories:
  • OB-New Babies
  • Neonatal
  • Heart
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes (depending on severity)
  • Trauma Accidents
  • Brain Injuries
  • Aged (under 18 and over 65)
• In addition to diagnosis, we look at the patient’s employment; the patient’s insurance (high deductible, under-insured); the patient’s current income; and many other mitigating factors

By identifying these patients, we help the hospital gain essential patient days toward their DSH.
